01About Soefer & Technology Intermediary Role

Soefer™ is a healthcare technology platform engineered and operated by Jackie Crafts Private Limited ("Soefer", "we", "us", or "our"). We provide an electronic outpatient clinic suite for doctors to manage clinic queues and an appointment scheduling service for patients to book and track outpatient queue tokens.

Soefer operates strictly as an administrative technology intermediary under Section 2(1)(w) of the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021. Soefer does not operate hospitals, provide clinical medical diagnoses, employ healthcare professionals, or dispense pharmaceuticals.

02User Roles: Clinic Suite vs. Patient App

Clinic Suite for Doctors & Clinics: Verified doctors and medical clinics use Soefer to manage outpatient department (OPD) sessions free of cost for single or multiple clinic locations. Clinics can manage unified queues for walk-in counter visitors and online token bookings, announce turns, and authorize front-desk receptionists with restricted kiosk access.

Patient App & Web Check-in: Patients use Soefer to discover verified clinics, reserve sequential outpatient tokens, monitor live queue progress, check in at the reception desk, and make transparent consultation payments.

03User Accounts & Authentication

Patient Accounts: Users must be at least 18 years old to register an account. Parents or legal guardians may add dependent family members to manage clinic visits on their behalf. Sign-in is verified via secure Google Sign-In and passwordless email authentication. Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account credentials.

Doctor Verification: Doctors must hold an active, valid registration with the National Medical Commission (NMC) or their respective State Medical Council. Practice credentials, clinic addresses, and bank accounts undergo administrative verification before bookings are activated on the platform.

04Independent Medical Practice

All medical assessments, examinations, clinical diagnoses, medical advice, and prescriptions are determined independently by the consulting doctor.

The doctor–patient relationship is established exclusively between the patient and the attending doctor. Professional registration checks conducted by Soefer verify statutory licensing credentials but do not constitute an endorsement, clinical warranty, or guarantee of medical treatment efficacy.

05Sequential Token Allocation & Queue Progress

Tokens are issued sequentially on a first-come, first-served basis upon successful booking. A token reserves your position in the clinic’s outpatient queue for that specific session or time slot.

Displayed queue positions, estimated arrival times, and waiting durations are dynamic approximations based on live clinic pace. Consultation lengths naturally fluctuate based on patient examination complexity and urgent clinical cases. Soefer cannot guarantee an exact consultation start time or a zero-wait visit.

Patients must arrive at the clinic prior to their token number being called. If a patient does not arrive when their turn is announced during an active session, the clinic front desk may mark the token as missed or placed on hold in accordance with clinic protocol.

06Fees, Transparent Pricing & Payment Processing

The Soefer Patient App is free to download. When booking an outpatient token online, patients pay the doctor’s consultation fee established by the clinic, plus a transparent platform Booking Fee and applicable GST. There are no hidden markups or recurring patient subscriptions.

Online payments are processed securely through RBI-authorized payment aggregator infrastructure. Payouts are automatically routed to the clinic or doctor’s verified bank account in escrow, with statutory deductions (including Section 194-O TDS and GST) remitted in compliance with Indian tax laws.

For walk-in counter bookings, patients pay the clinic directly at the front desk ("Pay @ Desk"). All counter cash collections are retained 100% directly by the clinic.

07Routine Consultations Only — No Emergency Care

Soefer is designed exclusively for routine, scheduled outpatient appointments. It is not an emergency medical service.

If you or someone in your care experiences severe chest pain, shortness of breath, acute hemorrhage, suspected poisoning, severe trauma, loss of consciousness, or an obstetric emergency, immediately dial 112 or 108, or proceed directly to the nearest emergency hospital facility. Do not book or wait for an outpatient queue token during a medical emergency.

08Acceptable Use & Platform Integrity

Users agree to use Soefer solely for lawful clinic queue coordination. Users must not attempt unauthorized access, deploy automated bots to hoard queue tokens, or interfere with clinic operations.

All software, design systems, visual assets, brand identifiers, and trademarks associated with Soefer—including Soefer™, Soefer+™, and Soefer Health™—are the intellectual property of Jackie Crafts Private Limited or its licensors, protected under applicable intellectual property laws. Unauthorized reproduction, imitation, or commercial use is strictly prohibited.

09Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Indian law, Soefer and Jackie Crafts Private Limited shall not be liable for clinical advice, medical treatment, or prescriptions provided by consulting doctors; clinic delays, schedule modifications, or session cancellations; or third-party payment gateway disruptions beyond our reasonable control.

10Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the substantive laws of India.

Any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.
